From a wonderful location in the middle of the Wiltshire Countryside, Lorne House offers guests a smart, sophisticated place to stay.  With plenty of off-street parking for our guests and the recently refurbished interior Lorne House is a stylish Bed & Breakfast providing our visitors with an elegant charm and friendly welcome.

Only five miles from the fabulous city of Bath, the B&B is situated in a fantastic location to explore the city and the striking surrounding countryside.  With its beautiful solid oak floors, wonderful soft furnishings and stunning furniture, Lorne House is a great place to spend a relaxing break or take a pleasant business trip.

Lorne House, locally famous as childhood home of the Rev. W J Awdry, author of Thomas the Tank Engine, is set in the village of Box which offers a great choice of pubs all of which are within walking distance.  As your hosts we have a thorough knowledge of the local area and would be happy to give recommendations and make reservations on your behalf.  In addition to the pubs in the village, Corsham is only a couple of miles away with more places to eat and drink and of course Bath is only a short ride away with great public transport links if you’re looking for a livelier evening.

In addition to accommodation, we provide a flexible conference facility, suitable for small seminars, training or board room type meetings.
